How to Find Your Chase Routing Number

Need your Chase routing number? The fastest way to get it is the Chase Mobile app. Sign in, tap your account, then tap “Show details.”

Don’t copy one off a list. Chase has more than one routing number, and its own routing number page no longer prints a list by state. It points you to your own account instead, and that’s the number to trust.

Getting it wrong can send your paycheck to the wrong place or bounce it, so it’s worth the 30 seconds to look it up.

3 Ways to Find Your Chase Routing Number

You’ll need the routing number and your account number to set up direct deposit, pay a bill from your bank account or link Chase to another app. Here’s where Chase says to look.

1. In the Chase Mobile app. Sign in, tap your account tile, then tap “Show details.”
2. On chase.com. Sign in, click your account name, then click “Account & routing number.”
3. On a check. It’s printed along the bottom. The routing number is the first 9 digits, followed by your account number and the check number.

No app and no checks? A banker at any branch can pull it up for you. Bring your ID.

Chase Routing Number for Wire Transfers

Wires are the one case where everybody uses the same number.

• Domestic wire coming in: give the sender your account number and Chase’s routing number, 021000021.
• International wire coming in: give the sender your account number and Chase’s SWIFT code, CHASUS33.

An incoming wire can take 24 hours to show up in your account after it reaches Chase. Still nothing? Ask the sender to confirm it went out, then call Chase at 1-800-935-9935.

And don’t use the wire number for direct deposit or bill pay. For those, use the number tied to your own account.

What Is a Routing Number?

It’s a nine-digit number that identifies a specific U.S. bank or credit union in a transaction. Your employer uses it, along with your account number, to send your paycheck to the right place.

Big national banks can have several of them, which is why two Chase customers don’t always have the same one.

One more thing. Your routing number isn’t a secret the way your password is, but paired with your account number it’s enough to pull money from your account. Only give the two together to people you actually mean to pay or get paid by.
