Best Bank Promotions without Direct Deposit for 2026

Earning a bank bonus is a great way to pad your savings account, but it can be tough to do if you don't have direct deposit set up. Here are promotions that don't require a direct deposit.

Most bank bonuses want your paycheck. Switching your direct deposit just to grab a bonus is a hassle, and plenty of people can’t do it at all.

So which bank promotions pay without direct deposit right now? We found three we could confirm on the bank’s own page: $175 from Chase Secure Banking for making 10 everyday transactions, and two business checking bonuses (Chase and Bank of America) that pay $400 and up for a deposit you leave alone for a couple of months.

That’s a short list, and it’s short on purpose. If we couldn’t read the amount, the requirements and the end date on the bank’s own site, the offer didn’t make it.

Chase Secure Banking$17510 qualifying transactions in 60 daysJanuary 27, 2027
Chase Business Complete Checking$400 or $500Deposit $2,000 or $10,000 in new money, hold it 60 days, make 5 transactionsJanuary 21, 2027
Bank of America Business Advantage Banking$400 to $2,500Deposit $5,000 or more in new money and hold it through day 90November 30, 2026

We read each of those on the bank’s own offer page on October 12, 2026. Banks change these whenever they feel like it, so check the offer page before you open anything.

1. Chase Secure Banking: $175 Bonus

Expires: January 27, 2027

This is the easy one. Open a Chase Secure Banking account as a new Chase checking customer, make 10 qualifying transactions within 60 days, and Chase puts $175 in your account within 15 days.

What counts? Debit card purchases, online bill payments, Chase QuickDeposit, Zelle and ACH credits. So buying coffee ten times gets it done.

The catch is the monthly service fee. It’s $4.95, or $0 in any month you have $250 or more in qualifying electronic deposits or an account owner who is 17 to 24. If neither fits you, a year of that fee eats about $59 of your $175.

You can’t get it if you already have a Chase checking account, closed one in the last 90 days, or closed one with a negative balance in the last 3 years. Chase also limits you to one new checking bonus every two years.

2. Chase Business Complete Checking: $400 or $500 Bonus

Expires: January 21, 2027

Got a business, even a small side one? This is the best payout on the list for the money you have to tie up. Chase pays $400 for a $2,000 deposit and $500 for a $10,000 deposit.

How to Earn:

  • Open a new Chase Business Complete Checking account and enroll in the offer.
  • Deposit $2,000 (for $400) or $10,000 (for $500) in new money within 30 days of enrolling.
  • Keep that balance for 60 days from enrollment.
  • Make 5 qualifying transactions within 90 days. Debit card purchases, Chase QuickDeposit and ACH credits all count.
  • The bonus lands within 15 days after you finish.

The account costs $15 a month, and Chase drops that to $0 if you keep a $2,000 minimum daily ending balance or link a personal Chase checking account. Since you’re parking $2,000 there for the bonus anyway, the first couple of months take care of themselves.

3. Bank of America Business Advantage Banking: $400 to $2,500 Bonus

Expires: November 30, 2026

Bank of America pays more, but it wants a bigger deposit and it wants it to sit longer. The bonus depends on how much new money you bring in:

  • $5,000 earns $400
  • $15,000 earns $700
  • $50,000 earns $1,000
  • $100,000 earns $1,500
  • $200,000 or more earns $2,500

You open a new Business Advantage Fundamentals Banking or Business Advantage Relationship Banking account by November 30, 2026 with the offer code applied, and deposit the new money within 30 days. Then your daily balance has to stay at your tier from day 31 through day 90. Drop below $5,000 on any single day in that stretch and you get nothing.

New money means money that isn’t already at Bank of America or Merrill. The bonus shows up within 60 days after you qualify, and you’re out if your business has owned a Business Advantage Banking account in the last 12 months.

Bottom line: $400 on $5,000 for about three months is a really good return. Just don’t touch the money.

How We Picked These Bank Promotions

We opened each bank’s own offer page on October 12, 2026 and wrote down the bonus, what you have to do and when the offer ends. An offer stayed only if all three were on the page and none of the steps was a direct deposit.

That’s why some promotions that used to be here are gone. We couldn’t confirm the old Acorns, Upgrade and Huntington offers on those companies’ own sites, so we took them out.

Tips for Claiming a Bank Bonus without Direct Deposit

Look for promotions that only ask you to deposit a set amount within a set window. That’s usually much easier than moving your paycheck.

Read what counts as “new money” and what counts as a “qualifying transaction” before you open the account. Those two definitions are where most people lose a bonus.

Put the dates on your calendar: when the deposit is due, how long it has to stay, and when the bonus should show up. And price in the monthly fee. A $15 monthly fee you can’t waive takes $90 out of a bonus in six months.

One more thing. Bank bonuses generally count as taxable income, so don’t be surprised when a tax form shows up.

Which Bank Promotion Should You Pick?

You don’t need direct deposit to earn a bank bonus. If you just want quick money for a personal account, the $175 from Chase Secure Banking is the one to go for. If you have a business and a few thousand dollars you won’t need for three months, the Chase and Bank of America business offers pay a lot more.
